HAGGUS (Oakland) Haggus is a prominent Oakland, California-based mincecore band formed in 2014 by guitarist/vocalist Hambone. Known for a relentless DIY work ethic, they have released over 100 songs, dozens of splits, EPs, and three full-length albums in just over a decade. Haggus is widely considered a key, modern torchbearer of the mincecore genre, which was founded by Agathocles. Haggus combines the traditional, crust-punk-influenced sound of "mincecore" with the visceral, raw brutality of old-school goregrind. Their sound is often described as "mincegore". Strongly anti-fascist, anti-sexist, and pro-feminist, focusing on social justice. Haggus is known for "debaucherous" live performances, often wearing ski masks ("the masked mincers"). They have toured extensively in the US, Europe, and Latin America.
