About the experience

This year, Earth Night takes place on the same day as Portugal’s Freedom Revolution Day (Dia da Liberdade), April 25th. Sustainability, awareness, and freedom are inseparable. Never has humanity needed this reminder more than it does today. Using the global power of music and nightlife to embody sustainability and inspire action. Created by DJs for Climate Action in 2018, the initiative has been uniting the global electronic music community, raising awareness for climate action. Earth Night happens during the Earth Week in April, when promoters, venues and artists from all over the world organize a simultaneous worlwide event, that takes place in different locations during that week. Scientists, activists and frontline communities continue to warn us of impending climate colapse, yet our leaders have so far failed to provide solutions. In the face of immense overwhelm and resulting Climate Paralysis taking hold globally, Earth Night emphasizes local, community-led actions that sprout joy and move the needle on climate justice.
