Wakyin lands back in New York on January 31 for a special night at Knockdown Center, bringing his rapidly growing global momentum to one of the city’s most essential dance floors. Born from Dominican and Puerto Rican roots, Wakyin has built a signature sound that moves between reggaeton-driven percussion, Afro-Latin rhythms, and club-focused house—delivered with the kind of energy that turns sets into full-room moments. His breakout track “Fruta Fresca” helped catapult him into the spotlight, now surpassing 65 million streams on Spotify and continuing to spread across platforms worldwide. In the past year, Wakyin’s touring schedule has taken him everywhere from Under the K Bridge and The Vanguard Orlando to Cova Santa Ibiza, Thuishaven Amsterdam, and festival appearances including EDC Orlando and EDSEA.
