CMYK & pekkuliar have been running the Kommuna label and event series since 2015. A brand that has been active in the growth of Barcelona´s vibrant electronic music scene, supporting local artists and inviting many emerging international guests, that are today regular headlines of the biggest clubs & festivals. They have performed next to established artists over the years like XDB, Vera, Laurine & Cecilio to name a few and organized label showcases in Closer (Kiev), Lion & Lamb (London) or Berlin, and regularly represent their sound in some of the world´s staple electronic music venues like Club der Visionaire, Ministerium in Lisbon, PRST in Vienna or as far as S.A.S.H in Sydney. Through its 2 sub-labels encompassing 9 sold out releases, Kommuna has sold thousands of records worldwide, with the latest focus being on releasing productions of their own team and closest friends. - the styles of music reflected in the label´s productions showcase a blend of smooth intelligent breaks, UK garage flavored tunes and a healthy dose of electro, acid and anything obscure. Dancefloor focused sets that go through different styles and moods, as a DJ duo CMYK & pekkuliar are not afraid to take a risk or two… and it usually works! ;)
