We are coming together to raise funds & provide immediate support to immigrants facing crisis in NYC & Minneapolis due to federal occupation by ICE. Our community will not remain silent while thousands are indiscriminately detained, harrasssed, assaulted, and even killed. NYC stands in solidarity with the people of Minneapolis, where everyday life has come to a halt- schools closing or going virtual, immigrants not safe leaving their homes, and neighbors relentlessly organizing to protect their blocks. 100% of funds will go directly to trusted organizations distributing resources to affected immigrants in NYC & Minneapolis: NYC Migrant Solidarity and Immigrant Defense Network. There are several tiers of tickets available for a pay-what-you-feel ticketing model and a donation option for folks who can't attend but would like to support. The event will feature tabling by New York City Migrant Solidarity, a community training/Q&A on ICE rapid response training from 9:30-10pm by Jonni Qwest, and free whistles + KYR cards for all attendees.
